Unrivalled Expertise

We believe that for us to provide a superior standard of service, we need to specialise in the products from one manufacturer, which for Three Point Automotive is Mercedes-Benz.

In order to do this, Three Point Automotive has invested in the correct manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment and up-to-date product training. We maintain excellent relationships with Mercedes-Benz UK to ensure we're at the forefront of all technological advances and process developments.

Although the basic combustion engine design has remained relatively unchanged, automotive technology has advanced considerably over the last decade with the introduction of complex engine management systems, designed to reduce emissions and improve efficiency.

In addition to this, the modern car has many complex electrical control units running on high speed computer networks quickly processing data. There is now a huge emphasis on safety systems, radar-based emergency braking systems and infrared cameras, all of which require high level diagnostic equipment to diagnose faults and calibrate systems.

Correct diagnosis and satisfactory “first time” repairs to these vehicles are generally out of the scope of most garages that aim to cater for all makes and models.

We can show you our certificates from Mercedes-Benz UK Head Office technical training, which demonstrates our understanding to current models and are proud of the time we invest in ensuring our specialist techniques and understanding of the mechanics of all Mercedes-Benz Cars, Vans, smart and AMG models is unrivalled in the local area.

About Tim Sherwood, Managing Director

Tim Sherwood has a proud history with the brand of Mercedes-Benz, spending nearly two decades working at both a Retailer and Manufacturer level, enabling a holistic view of the company, and indeed, the changing demands and needs of customers.

Starting as an Apprentice Technician at Mercedes-Benz Retailer Dingle Garages, Tim excelled through his training and became Diagnostic Technician at Mercedes-Benz of Chester.

He subsequently caught the eye of Head Office and was promoted to Technical Support Specialist at Manufacturer level, providing vital technical support to Retailers across the UK; a sign of the detailed understanding that Tim had of the Mercedes-Benz range of vehicles.

Tim’s career continued to progress as he was promoted to Accessories Specialist and then to eMobility Manager, responsible for all electric and hybrid vehicle products at the heart of the Technical team.

Tim was born and raised in Llandudno Junction and while he spent his early adult years in North Wales, his career moved him to Milton Keynes – home of Mercedes-Benz in the UK.

Armed with past, current and future product knowledge, Tim made the decision to go back to his roots and give something back to his local community by establishing an independent Mercedes-Benz specialist repairer in Llandudno Junction, giving more choice for Mercedes-Benz owners in North Wales, and enabling more employment opportunities for skilled technicians and support staff, within the wider community.

Tim's experience and technical expertise is unrivalled in the local area and as a Mercedes-Benz owner himself, Tim understands the passion and pride behind owning these coveted vehicles.
